Dog Training > Advanced Classes

This class is more advanced. Any dog can join in depending on ability, really your dog needs to be able to sit and down reliably and his heelwork needs to be reasonably consistent.

Note: At the moment we don't have any Advanced classes planned but this is subject to change.

Duration: 6-week course consisting of 6 x 60-minute sessions, running most Saturday mornings.

Venue: Methodist Church Hall in Standish (click here for a map). Free off-road parking (dozen or so spaces).

Cost: £70 for the 6-week course including a complimentary dog whistle as part of recall training. There is also a handout to cover each session.

What We Get Up To...

The training methods that we will use are all reward based. We will use praise, food treats and positive reinforcement to show your dogs what behaviour is required of them. Dogs learn through play, so there will be lots of games for you and your dog together, as well as free play with each other in a safe environment.

Class sizes are kept small enabling your dog to socialise without being overwhelmed. This will also mean that there is enough one to one time with the instructor and that you are not left sitting for ages waiting for your turn. Since I have an assistant, Sarah, working with me now, we have more time to move your dog on at his own pace.

If you have any special requests or need information that is not included in the timetable, let me know, and we can plan that into the timetable for you.

Come armed with your collar (not choke chain), lead (standard leather / webbing), a bag of tasty treats and some poo bags (just in case). I look forward to meeting you and your dog soon.
