Class News The obedience classes have
gone from strength to strength with 4 hours of classes running
consistently for the last four months of the year. We have met so many
new people with their dogs and have past clients coming back with new
additions to their families; it has been lovely to spend time with you
all. Our final class of 2008 is on Sat 13th December, then we start
fresh and raring to go on Sat 10th January 2009 – looking forward to
meeting all of you that are registered for the new course, and for those
past clients, don’t forget to pop in for a quick hello if you are
passing! |

What’s New? I have been able to offer
a greater service on the 1-2-1 behaviour visits this past year, more and
more training has allowed me to solve far more serious and complex
issues. With further training and knowledge this service will get better
and better for you. As you will have seen from the website, we have had a new team member join the Standish Dog Trainer team in the furry form of Indiana Bones (Bryning Nighthawk). Indie is 6 months old on Christmas Day and is coming along in leaps and bounds. He comes with us to the classes every Saturday, he loves to play and makes friends with the other dogs but is good at focussing and working when I ask him to. He is a joy to walk and we spend hours wondering around the local area on our 'I wonder what’s round here' walks. He has learned lots of tricks and we have great fun with a clicker! We will be keeping updated photos and video on the website. Remember your four legged friend at this festive time of year – watch out for those electric cables on lights and Christmas Trees (lovely to chew!), chocolate tree decorations and advent calendars need to be kept out of doggy reach and too much rich food can upset canine tummies. Visitors coming in and out of the house can be unsettling so provide your dog with a safe place to get out of the way if they need to. It is cold and wet outside, but the dogs don’t mind, so get your wellies and woollies on and get out there with your dog.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year! |
