Venue: You will be invited to the dog training
room at the Methodist Church Hall in Standish for your consultation.
This venue provides parking, lots of room inside for training as well as
easy access to local green space for outdoor training. I would ask that
customers arrive 10 mins before their appointment time in order to give
their dog chance to relax a little before starting work.
Visits may take place in your home by special
arrangement.
Cost: £40 per hour
Let me use my reward based training
methods to eliminate any unwanted habits that your dog may have,
transforming him into that well mannered pooch that everyone would love to
show off.
Re-call
The fear that your dog may not come back once you have
let him off the lead is a really common worry for many dog owners. I can
help you solve this.
Walking to heel
We have all seen people being pulled along the street
behind their dogs - it can be embarrassing and of course it could be
dangerous. With a little determination this is a quick and easy problem to
put an end to.
Sit, Down and Stay
A bit of fun - it is great to be able to teach your dogs some little
tricks - and they love to please you!
Jumping Up
Many dogs jump up, this is not a problem when they are
puppies but little puppies grow into big heavy dogs. We can help to get
rid of those muddy paw prints on your jumper!
Familiarisation
There are lots of things in the big wide world that you
and I take for granted. Training and understanding are crucial to ensure
that your dog is prepared for the things he will encounter when outside.
Separation Anxiety
Dogs can be distressed or destructive when left alone.
This is more common in dogs from rescue centres. I can help you make life more
positive for your dog. Antisocial Behaviour
Some dogs exhibit behaviour that we consider to be antisocial. I can
help you manage this by putting together a practical, kind behaviour
modification programme. Car
Sickness, Fear of the Car and Safe Travel
For a dog, a journey in the car often means a trip to
the vet, so it is not surprising that lots of dogs don't like to go in the
car. Some dogs do suffer from travel sickness. These are easy problems to
solve with a little determination. I can also advise on how to travel
safely with your dog.
Advice Before Getting a New Dog
There are so many choices to make, where to get your dog from, what
type of dog to get, what equipment you will need. I can give you the
information that you need to get you started.
